Item description
Early 1900’s German Bisque Bathing Beauty collectable. This piece features a woman with rosy cheeks laying in a turtle shell. Her sandy blond hair is sculpted into a bun on the top of her head that sticks out of the front of the turtles shell. Her little red slippers protrude from the back.
What makes this piece truly spectacular and particularly rare is what is hidden under the shell. Nestled safely in the ruffles of her blue nightgown sits a small teddy bear. This piece is also called “Naughty Turtle Lady” due to the similar pieces that display the woman’s bare bum under the turtle shell.
Vintage Bathing Beauty Turtle Lady measures approx. 4 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, and 2 inches tall.
