Approved by USFWS (Fish & Wildlife) and legally obtained. This stunning butterfly is a dragon swallowtail. Its scientific name is Sericinus montela. This species of butterfly is typically found in Japan, China, Korea and Russia.

This real butterfly is preserved in a crystal clear lucite block, making every detail visible from all angles. This specimen is a great educational piece or makes for a beautiful scientific display. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved butterfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.

Lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. As with all real butterflies in resin, size, coloration and positioning can vary slightly.
