This large, impressive piece is of a Red Swamp Crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) The smallest of details on this bright red specimen are visible through the crystal clear resin. This is a perfect piece for any aquatic decor, or makes an excellent teaching aid.
This species of crayfish is native to freshwater bodies of northern Mexico, and the southeastern United States. It has also been introduced elsewhere, in North America and other continents, where it is usually considered an invasive pest.
As with all natural specimens in resin, size, shape and coloration can vary slightly. We guarantee a quality specimen. Lucite block measures approx. 5 1/4 inches tall, by 3 1/2 inches wide, and 1 6/8 inches thick.
