Item description
This little, stunning, Beetle in Resin is a Blister Beetle. It’s of the family Meloidae and has a defensive secretion of a blistering agent, cantharidin. Some say it “spits acid.”
What you can’t see in the photos is that the orange is a beautiful, deep irredescense colration.
Lucite block measures approx. 1 3/4 inch tall by 1 1/8 inch wide.
As with all Insects in Resin, no two are the same. We gaurentee a quality specimen. Size, color and positioning can vary slightly from the one in the photos.
