Item description
Approved by USFWS (Fish and Wildlife) Legally obtained. This stunning rainbow dome is of a real Common Jay Butterfly in Iridescent resin. Prepare to be entranced by its vibrant charm; every angle of this dome unveils a spectrum of colors and reflections that captivate the eye.
Also known as the Veined Jay, this butterfly is found in India and Asia. Its scientific name is Graphium chironides. Ideal as a standout gift for yourself or that special someone who appreciates unique and natural oddities.
Dome measures approximately 3 1/2 inch diameter and height is approximately 1 3/4 inches. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved butterfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.
As with all specimens in resin, size, coloring, and positioning of butterfly within the dome can vary. We guarantee you will receive a quality specimen but not the exact one shown in photos.

Great looking paperweight as always.
A wonderful gift.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you so much!
I was a little skeptical, but once you get this item in person, it lives up to the advertising and pictures. The opalescent rainbow colors are accurate and as advertised. The butterfly specimen is not only well preserved but possibly thanks to the resin looks bigger than expected. Bonus points for not being too heavy in the hand either. A pleasure doing business.
I needed a unique and actual insect for my bug friend and then I found these folks locally owned and operated in the State of Oregon. With actual specimens and the science and credential behind it to know they were gathered legally and with such care, it was like finding a dinosaur hunter of insects. thanks for the extra care in packing and the stellar free shipping that got this rarity delivered ahead of schedule and undamaged. You have incredible items/prices/customer service!
