The Aztec people flourished in central Mexico from 1300 to 1521. They where an early society that developed beautiful hieroglyphic writing, agriculture irrigation and a complex calendar system. But, they are most well known for the construction of impressive pyramids and temples to pay homage to their many gods and goddesses.
