Approved by USFWS (Fish and Wildlife) Legally obtained. The Yellow Orange Tip Butterfly (Ixias pyrene) is in the butterfly family Pieridae. They can be found in Sri Lanka, India and southeast Asia throughout the plains and lowlands. Their habitat is dry deciduous forests, scrub and fallow lands and are common during the monsoon season and a bit rare during the summer.

This real butterfly is masterfully preserved in crystal clear resin, making every detail visible from all angles. This specimen is a great educational piece or makes for a beautiful scientific display. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved butterfly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.

Lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. As with all real butterflies in resin, size, coloration and positioning can vary slightly.
