These Shrunken Head replicas are made from real tanned Alpaca hide and hair. The heads are hand crafted by local artisans in Ecuador where the original practice of “head shrinking” originated from. These shrunken heads are about as real as it gets! The sale of real shrunken heads was outlawed in the 1930’s.
