The Sunset Moth (Scientific name Chrysiridia rhipheus) is a striking day-flying moth known for its iridescent, rainbow-like wings that shimmer in the light. Native to Madagascar, it is often considered one of the most beautiful insects in the world.

To preserve its natural beauty, this specimen’s wings were carefully removed, protected, and then reassembled before being set in resin.
