(hoplobatrachus rugulosus), This species of frog is widespread from Cambodia to Vietnam. The eight stages from egg to adult are all captured in stunning detail, making this is an excellent educational display or a unique piece of science decor.
This frogs natural habitat is in freshwater marshes and ponds, but they are often found in very urban areas too. The females are larger than the males, reaching about 4 1/2 inches in length and breeding season is in the spring to early summer. Their eggs are laid in large clumps. As soon as they hatch into tadpoles, and throughout their development, they are very vulnerable to predators and very few will make it to adulthood.
