This collection of specimens are meticulously placed in a crystal clear block of Lucite resin showing the life cycle of the East Asian Bullfrog. (hoplobatrachus rugulosus), This species of frog is widespread from Cambodia to Vietnam. The eight stages from egg to adult are all captured in stunning detail, making this is an excellent educational display or a unique piece of science decor.
This frogs natural habitat is in freshwater marshes and ponds, but they are often found in very urban areas too. The females are larger than the males, reaching about 4 1/2 inches in length and breeding season is in the spring to early summer. Their eggs are laid in large clumps. As soon as they hatch into tadpoles, and throughout their development, they are very vulnerable to predators and very few will make it to adulthood.
This Frog in Resin, frog development display measures approx. 5 1/2 inches wide, by 2 1/2 inches tall and 3/4 inch deep. Add a nice finishing touch to your piece with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.
Comes with a laminated card with the stages of the life stages. As with all specimens in resin, size, color and positing of frogs and tadpoles within the lucite can vary slightly. We guarantee a quality piece but not the exact one in photos.
