Approved by USFWS (Fish & Wildlife) legally obtained. This is a real Lanternfly (Pyrops Candelaria) in crystal clear resin. These are an attractive flying insect with a yellow-orange color with black wing tips that are native to Thailand, Hong Kong, Laos and Vietnam. Their long slender faces are used to pierce through bark to feed off the organic compounds of trees.
This Lanternfly in lucite makes for an excellent educational display, decoration for your home, or great addition to your Insects and Oddities collection. Lucite block measures approx. 2 3/4 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide.
