The optional ornate black base is what really gives it that modern oddities and curiosity decor style. Cordyceps are a type of parasitic fungus that attach to and live off of insects. This particular cordyceps fungus is attached to a cicada. This specimen would make for a interesting scientific display or a great addition to your curio cabinet.

Jar measures approximately 1 1/2 dia. by 3 1/2 inches tall. We will take the time to pick you the best specimens. As with all real animal products, size, shape and coloration can vary. Especially with Cordyceps. Pictures are examples of what you could receive.
