Item description
Approved by USFWS (Fish and Wildlife) Legally obtained. This truly creepy piece is a real orb weaver Spider and housefly on an imitation spider web in resin. The scientific name of the spider is Araneus ventricosus and the Fly is musca domestica. These spiders are mainly found in Japan, Korea and China. They are known for constructing webs overnight, only to dismantle it come morning as well as engaging in elaborate mating dances.
Resin block measures approximately 3 inch square. Add a nice finishing touch to your preserved spider and fly with an optional display stand. Made of clear acrylic, this stand really enhances the piece, giving it a nice viewing angle.
Note: Web is a graphic and not real. As with all real spiders and specimens in resin, size, coloration and positioning can vary slightly.
He is on my shelf, next to a 20+ year old scorpion I have in my collection. A mechanic gave it to me when I was a child, along with a tarantula! Unfortunately, I lost my tarantula over the years, and my scorpion has been on the shelf all alone. But now, he has a new Spider friend! They R in love.
Love everything about it! The quality of the product is exceptional.
