Item description
This rare vintage Italian friendship cup, also known as a grolla or coppa dell’amicizia, is a traditional drinking vessel originating from the Aosta Valley in Northern Italy.
Crafted from mahogany, it features six spouts and an intricate hand-carved ram (or goat) design on the lid—an uncommon detail that makes it a standout collector’s piece. Adding to its rarity, the cup includes a vintage paper insert with original drink recipes and care instructions, a unique find that highlights its history and authenticity.
The inscription on the paper reads:
“Lo Scrigno” – Via Roma 79 (sul ponte romano), Pont Saint Martin – Valle de Aosta.
(Translation: “The Treasure” – 79 Roma Street, on the Roman Bridge, Pont Saint Martin, Aosta Valley.)
