Item description

Drink with class with this impressive Medusa Beer Stein. The snake handle, as if one of Medusas snakes have come right out of the beer stein, adds an unmatched elegance. Medusa is displayed on both sides with a sword and shield in the middle. The black on bronze and silver is a bold color combination. This would make for a wonderful conversation piece at your next party.

Our high quality beer stein has a good weight to it and measures approximately 5 3/4 inches tall. Holds a little over 16oz. Made of a cold cast resin and hand painted. Includes a removable stainless steel tumbler inserted within the stein for easier cleaning.

Medusa, also knows as a one of the Gorgons, was described in Greek Mythology as a winged monster with living snakes for hair. It is said, that to gaze in her eyes would turn the onlooker into stone. She is often depicted with bronze hands and wings of gold, much like this stein portrays. This unique drinking vessel gives a great representation of the classical medusa.

Medusa Beer Stein

To be completely honest, this mug did not live up to my expectation of quality. Admittedly, my expectations are often considered high, especially when it comes to quality. The description says "cold cast bronze" and that it has "painted highlights" so I was expecting the metallic sheen shown in the photos to be polished metal. Alas it appears to be entirely painted, and if you happen to scratch it, the metal underneath the paint is dark and dull. Regardless, I am still quite happy with it overall. It is heavy and sturdy, and as an added bonus, the lid from a long gone Yeti-mug that I mangled at work fits perfectly into the mouth of the stainless steel insert, so that was pretty nifty.
